Today, our world is more fast-paced than ever before. The increased demands placed on our time have resulted in the breakdown of supportive, interpersonal relationships. Small Groups provide the time and place to get to know one another better.

How
do
I
find
a
Small
Group? Above
you will find the listing of
our summer small groups. In
September there will be a “Rally Day” where
everyone will be given the opportunity
to sign up for new small groups.
Small groups meet at different
times throughout the month and
run on a semester basis.
Another good way to find a Small
Group is to visit our information
booth before or after one of
our services. There you can
pick up a Small Group brochure
and ask to be introduced to
one of our Small Group Leaders.
What
about
child
care? Each Small Group is different. Please refer to the Small Group listing or a Small Group brochure for the
child care provisions of each group.
Why Small Groups?
Small Groups Provide Community
Bill
Hybels, pastor of Willowcreek
Community Church defines “community” as a place where you can…
- Know and be known
- Love and be loved
- Serve and be served
- Celebrate and be celebrated
In a Small Group people develop committed and trusting relationships with each other and the Lord as
they share their lives and minister to one another’s
needs.
Small Groups Provide Fellowship
Small
groups
provide
a
time
and
place
to
get
to
know
one
another
better.
Small
Groups
Provide
Ministry
When
someone in
our church
has a
need, the
Small Group
members are
quick to
respond and
support each
other. The
closeness of
the group
provides a
safe place
to express
needs to
one another
and an
opportunity to
give in
ministry.
Small
Groups Provide
Spiritual Growth
Because the
best teachers
are those
who model
their lessons,
Small Groups
provide a
place for
Christians to
disciple and
model the
Christian walk
for new
believers.
