Applications on Demand officeDesk Live clients can take advantage of the newest versions of Microsoft software platforms without any up-front or out-of-pocket costs. Applications are security stored, monitored for performance, and delivered seamlessly from our servers. Most common applications are already installed on our system, ready for use. If a client has an application not already installed, we will install and maintain it at no additional charge.
Maintenance & Upgrades
Application maintenance performed by Nerd Patrol is included with each package and is free from any additional charges. Depending on the particular application, maintenance can be scheduled once-a-year or as a daily task. Examples include updates, patches, log file examination, upgrades, testing, etc. For larger upgrades, a temporary test environment will be used to evaluate the upgrade before it ever impacts your system.
The File System
Nerd Patrol provides clients with a secure, privately hosted file system. Just as on a local network, we offer shared folders, public and private areas, file permissions, etc. Clients can customize file structures to fit their organizations’ needs.

Automatic Backup & Disaster Recovery
Applications and data are stored offsite at our secure data center with total redundancy and banking-class security. Onsite backups are done in real time and offsite backups are done on a daily basis.
Our Data Center’s power is provided via redundant connection to the city’s primary Central Business District’s six grid system, backed up by an automatic diesel generator and redundant uninterruptible power supplies.
Security
officeDesk Live uses state-of-the-art security features including built-in 128-bit RSA RC4 cipher encryption for data sent to and from the servers, password lockout protection, inactivity timeout, and customizable user rights and permissions.
Our managed firewalls detect intruders, provide content and spam filtering, and also prevent spyware, and adware attacks.
Data Storage
Client companies are provided with 10 gigabytes of shared company data storage to store information and company documents. Each user is allocated an additional 2 gigabytes of data storage for personal use.
Personal Help Desk
We provide immediate access to a live IT support professional via web or telephone, 24/7. Our staff works with clients to resolve all types of issues and with the client’s permission can remotely connect to a desktop in order to solve problems directly.
Our support philosophy is to provide quick, accurate response to all technical questions and we pledge that one of our help desk staff will respond within one business day or less.
Centralized File System
Clients have access to a secure and private file system at their finger tips. Just as on a local computer, we offer shared folders, public and private areas, file permissions, etc. Clients can customize their file structure to fit their organizations’ needs.
PDA & Smart Phone Access
officeDesk Live allows clients to synchronize PDAs with Outlook through our Exchange Servers. With a compatible mobile device, clients can view calendars, tasks, and e-mails in real time.
Enterprise-Class Groupware and Email
officeDesk Live Exchange Servers deliver enterprise-class email and groupware to all Plus and Premium users. Exchange® has been configured to take advantage of all groupware features including public folders, distribution lists, group scheduling, resource sharing, etc.
